"Who sings this song?" she asked, turning the radio up a bit.
"Buffalo Springfield," he replied, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Never heard of him. This is my favorite war protest song ever," she said, bobbing her head to the beat.
"I've never thought of it as a war protest song. It seems to me they're sort of making fun of the protesters," he replied. "Also, Buffalo Springfield is a group, not a person."
She turned to look out the window. After a minute she said, "You think all these things you know are really important. I can tell. I really don't need to hear them. I just want to hear the song."
He never called her again after that night. She didn't mind.
I think these two people are constantly fighting in my head.

And then she said, "I wonder why Jethro Tull never makes any more records. I really like him."

I like that. She's a stupid little twat, isn't she? What the hell was he doing with her to begin with? Probably she looked better than she was.
I refuse to be left behind.

Sometimes it is nice to stay ignorant when you like something. Truth destroys lies. Especially the lies you want believe.

I have only recently started keeping my mouth shut when people make mistakes about music, the artists, and the meanings.
These things that I know are not that important, I've decided. Only a few things are.
