The world changes slowly. Every morning it is almost completely the same world it was yesterday. Meanwhile we fluctuate wildly, tossed here and there by new information, new misinformation, new insight and new confusion. The world, however, doesn't change much from day to day. We put a bookmark in the world at night and it's there in the morning. We pick up where we left off, or not.
This new Gorillaz album, Plastic Beach, works for me. It's missing a lot of the more upbeat elements of their earlier albums, and I'm sure this will disappoint many, but I like it. Trippy and a little psychedelic, with hip hop mixed in at just the right ratio. I don't know if I'd recommend it, because I don't know if it has mass appeal. All I can tell you is that I like it.
Is it just me, or does something look fundamentally different about the world today? Did something happen in the night, something that changes everything? Did we cross some line? Has the future started? Maybe it's just me, my perception or misperception and whatnot. I think a bird winked at me from a telephone line. I wonder what's up.
Hello, friends. I hope you're well. Are you?
Later. Love.
P.S. - If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, then you may have heard the good news. Susan's PET Scan on Wednesday showed no evidence of disease, no cancer. We are so happy about this, as you might imagine. She continues to beat the odds. They don't declare you cancer free until five years with no evidence of disease. This was her first scan since her surgery. Her next scan is in three months. Here's hoping the good new continues. Thanks for stopping by.
