I've been hearing a lot about proposals for universal healthcare during the political campaign (the one for President of the United States of America). I think it's a great idea, but I have two questions:
- Who gets to participate?
- Does it really cover you no matter where you are in the universe? Can I get a list of participating physicians in the vicinity of Alpha Centauri?
All the major networks have rejected the pilot script I wrote for a show called Me and You and Me Makes Two. I thought it was a clever title. It's a crime drama about a pair of detectives who never figure out any crimes. They just drive around, interview people, go to lunch and go park out by the lake where no one can see them and have long, deep conversations about the meaning of life. Sometimes they fish. One is named David. He's pretty much a loser, but he's got a heart of gold. Plus he's gay, but he hasn't told anyone. The other is named Winston Churchill Danielsford, III. He comes from a rich family, but he doesn't want anyone to know. He's got some kind of dark secret, but I haven't made up what it is yet. He thinks David might be gay. They've got this boss they call "Big Guy". He's constantly on their case about solving crimes and not spending so much time at the lake. He thinks Winston Churchill Danielsford, III has a dark secret, but he doesn't know what it is yet. There's also "Gus the Donut Guy". He's loveable. I guess none of this matters. It's been rejected by the networks. I'd have watched it though, if I didn't have anything else to do.
Now I'm working on a sitcom called Universal Healthcare. It's about a space hospital near Alpha Centauri. I'm hoping to get Zach Braff.
Hello, friends. What TV shows pilot scripts are you writing?
Love.
