38. I wonder strange things as I drive to work. This morning I wondered if birds ever wonder, "What the hell IS this thing I'm sitting on?" I wonder if any part of them prefers a real tree or mountain perch to a telephone pole, flag pole or Exxon sign. I imagine explaining it to them. "Hello. That perch of yours, my fine, feathered friend, is a microwave relay tower. It repeats and directs communication signals all over the..." "Look, fella, you lost me at hello. Unless you've got a mouse in your pocket you're willing to part with, move along." That's how the conversation goes in my mind.
39. I notice strange things when I drive to work. The tall, yellowish grass that grows in pastures has a slight purple tinge to it. You can't see it if you look at a single stalk (or blade) of the grass, but you can see it in the bending dance of the aggregate in a windy field. It reminds me of the subtle, colorful sheen of a Blue Weimaraner, the most beautiful dog I've ever seen.
40. I draw strange things when I sit in meetings. (You should zoom in on the picture to get a real sense of how my mind wanders.)
Hello, friends. Tell me something good.
Later. Love.
