Today I'm not at a coffee shop. Today I'm at a tire shop. I've got a slow leak in my passenger rear tire. It's covered by my warranty, however, so don't send donations or anything.
There is a noticeable difference in atmosphere between the coffee shop and the tire shop. The baristas have a very different aesthetic sensibility. (Are they called baristas in a tire shop? I'm not sure.) The music includes a good deal more country and a lot less reggae. The coffee is pretty bad, but I have to give them credit for even having any. I'm fairly sure they don't have any tires at the coffee shop. You can't get an espresso drink at the tire shop. They've got an espresso machine (or something that sounds a lot like one) out in the shop area, but, when I asked for a triple latte, they just looked at me like I was crazy.
There are painters here at the tire shop taking down all the decorations (which are, primarily, tire and wheel themed) so they can paint the walls. The place currently has white walls. I wonder if they'll stick with those, which are, as I understand it, a little retro. The paint is a high-gloss, which is a little too shiny, in my opinion. In their business, though, a flat white wall is not a good thing.
Okay, this topic is getting a little tiresome.
Hello, friends. How are you today?
Later. Love.
