In most hotels in Paraguay, they don't have running hot water, just cold water. For warm showers, most places have, I kid you not, electric shower heads. Electricity heats coils through which the water passes. The lower the water flow, the warmer the water. A full-strength flow would hardly be affected. A slow trickle would be scalding. One thing you have to remember, and you do remember it eventually, is that you cannot reach up and adjust the shower head while the water is running. It will shock the hell out of you. As crazy as this sounds, we all survived. People are resilient and Pavlov was right. It only takes one shock. Maybe two. Three at the most.
How are you today? Is it warm anywhere, or is it freezing everywhere? It's cold here. Talk to me.
Later. Love.
P.S. - I posted a short piece on my cogito writing site. It's called Hounds. Check it out, if you'd like. Thanks for stopping by.
